Short Report for the Non League Paper by Graham Dunn:-

The first meeting in Dorset between these attack-minded sides ended with honours even.

After Toby Homes had hit the top of the visitors' crossbar in the first minute, and Luke Burbidge's cross hit the inside of a post, it was Hendon who took the lead at the mid-point of the first half. Ryan Hope's 20 yard shot deceiving keeper Gerard Benfield at the near post.

But Wimborne equalised four minutes later. After Holmes and keeper Danny Boness collided going for a through ball, Burbidge curled the ball into the empty net from 25 yards.

The Greens' lead was restored two minutes before the interval when referee Underhay spotted a push in the box at a corner, and Shaquille Hippolyte-Patrick rifled home the penalty.

Eight minutes into the second period and the scores were level again. Stefan Penny's astute lob found Holmes who in turn lobbed the advancing Boness.

Wimborne took the lead on 64 minutes. Franklyn Clarke's quick throw was flicked on by Burbidge for Holmes to head home from 3 yards.

But the hosts' lead only lasted two minutes. From a free-kick wide on the right, central defender Darren Locke stooped low to head home.

Both keepers made spectacular full-length saves to prevent further goals as the teams went all out for a winner. Boness diving to his left to keep out shots by Billy Maybury and Burbidge, Benfield somehow tipping Hope's goal-bound shot over the bar.
