Club Seeks New Sponsor

29th March 2017
The club is disappointed to announce that, following discussions with our main sponsor W+S Recycling, they have pulled out of the second year of the two year sponsorship which was set to cover season 2017-18.

There's no point in hiding that this is a major set back for the football club. W+S have felt let down, not least by the negative comments made on social media platforms. Unfortunately, the picture presented as a result of these comments hasn't shown the club in a good light.

Matty Holmes' Contract Renewed

23rd March 2017
Matty Holmes' Contract Renewed
The club is delighted to announce that Matty Holmes will remain as manager of Wimborne Town FC for the 2107-18 season.

Matty's role as first team coach is remunerated on a part time basis, in line with other managers' wages operating at this level of football. Matty is also employed by the club to carry out coaching and community projects outside of his management role. This additional role is key to the overall success of the club and has contributed significant income during the current season, which is set to further increase next season and beyond.

The club is very much on track with its plans and securing Matty again was paramount.

Player Movements

22nd March 2017
The club is pleased to announce the signings of Matt Oldring and Chad Collins. Joining us from Dorchester Town, 24 year old Matt is an experienced Southern League player who can play centre back or in midfield. Chad Collins is a goalkeeper who has recently returned from a spell in America and will provide us with cover in this position until the end of the season, at which time he will return to the USA. We welcome both of you to the club.

Meanwhile, we say goodbye to Alan Walker-Harris, who has joined Slough Town, and Jamie Davidson, who has signed for Hamworthy Recreation. The club would like to thank both of you for your services and wish you all the best at your new clubs.
